Sheet Metal Workers Local No. 58 participates in the Helmets to Hardhats program.

Apprenticeship Application & Recruitment

Minimum Qualifications:

Age: Must be at least 18 years of age

Physical Condition: Must be physically able to perform work as required confirmed and submitted by applicant

Education: Minimum requirements include high school diploma or GED recognized by the State Education Department

Successfully completed coursework needed

Algebra, one year with passing grade or-
Math Course 1 passing grade or-
Passing Regents Math

Transportation: Must have a valid New York State Drivers License, as you may be required to drive company vehicles. Need a reliable means of transportation to and from work and school.

Applicants for Apprenticeship:

Sheet Metal Workers Local No. 58 will issue applications on the first Monday of each month from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., at the Sheet Metal Workers Local No. 58 Office, 301 Pulaski Street, Syracuse, New York.

When the first Monday of the Month falls on a Holiday we will accept applications on the following Monday or 2 nd Monday of the Month. Applicants that meet minimum qualifications will be interviewed, evaluated, scored and placed on the list in the order in which they rank.
